TakeControl Solutions was born from a desire to see not-for-profit organisations flourish
I have a passion to see my background, knowledge and experience used to assist not-for-profit organisations flourish and succeed in delivering high quality services to their communities through quality leadership from their Boards.
Not-for-profit Boards are bodies of volunteers who are willing to give of their resources, including time, because they have a passion for the objectives of the organisations that they serve. These passionate people want to do the best job they possibly can, deliver the most effective services possible with the resources available, see the organisation grow and flourish and look after their staff.
The reality is, particularly in small organisations, that Board members, while passionate, have never been trained in what it means to be an effective Board member, what their roles are or even what their legal personal, compliance and regulatory obligations are. This lack of awareness and training can stifle a Boards ability to effectively "lead" an organisation and can even hinder an organisations ability to deliver services, flourish and grow,
I come from a background of Senior Business Management and not-for-profit Board membership. My employment background includes Senior IT Manager, Business Manager, Executive Officer and Chief Executive Officer. My Board experience includes local, state and national Boards and includes positions as Treasurer, Senior Vice President, President, Public Officer and Secretary.
My desire is to see all communities serviced in the most effective way possible by not-for-profit organisations led by effective Boards.
